Bedroom door knobs – Bedroom door handles unlike any other doorknobs. You can choose to get one that comes with a lock or no lock, depending on how much privacy you want. Mounting the bedroom door handles will be the same as if you install a bathroom doorknobs or cabinet door handles. When you install a doorknob, you will be able to do it again and again. Privacy doorknobs are used mainly in places like bedrooms and bathrooms. These bedroom door knobs have a locking mechanism on the inside of the button, so you can lock the door from inside. The front side of the bedroom door knobs is often provided with a release mechanism with a special key that allows a person on the outside to open the door, if necessary. You can remove a privacy door handles if you want to upgrade or replace it.
Install bedroom door knobs; Remove the old door handle by unscrewing the two screws at the back of the bedroom door knobs base plate. Pull studs apart to free them from the door. Use your screwdriver as a lever to push the bolt out of the door. Place the new bolt into the door. Make sure the curved side of the bolt tongue pointing in the direction in which the door is closed. Trace around bolt’s face plate with a pencil. Use a wood chisel to carve out the area where the plate will sit. You will need to carve out enough to the plate to sit flush with the door.
Insert the bolt back into the side of the door and secure it in place with the screws. Place the bedroom door knobs with the lock (if you have one) through the hole on the inside of the door. Make sure the hooks passing through the holes in the bolt. Center the other knob of lock knob’s pin and slide into place. Fasten both bedroom door knobs to the door with the screws. Use a screwdriver to remove the screws in the strike plate to the door frame. Place the new strike plate over the old screw holes and secure it in place with the screws.
