Modern bed frames – An unconventional and economic alternative that may not have considered is PVC pipe. PVC pipe is resistant and easy to work. PVC pipe furniture also hold up well outdoors. Use a table of standard mattress sizes to determine the right size for the bed frame. Cut two pieces of PVC pipe several more inches wider than your mattress. Cut the longer pieces of PVC pipe in half. The use of glue PVC pipe to connect the two side pieces cut to a set U, so that two tubes of equal length arms extending from the joint of the T.
Add another joint T to each end of the long pieces. Connect the two short pieces of the two long pieces at the joints T, forming a rectangular frame with T joints on every corner. Determine the height you want the bed to be. Cut six pieces of PVC this queue length and one piece in each of the empty portions of the T-joints to create legs. Cut a length of nylon tow strap long enough to fit the width of the PVC pipe with extra bed frame enough to wrap around the modern bed frames at both ends.
Wrap the end of the strap around the side rail of PVC and secure in place by sewing with a needle and thread heavy tapestry. Continue adding straps on the bed for the entire length of the frame, the straps spacing about 1/2 inch apart. Cut a length longer than the length of the bed and sewing one end belt around the PVC frame. Weaving belt through straps go in the opposite direction and sew strap to the other end of the modern bed frames. Add more belts until the entire length of the bed is covered by weaving every other strap in the opposite direction.
